Method
- Training
through seminars and talks.
-
By life and example model discipleship and evangelism.
-

Cornhill Training Course.
- Conferences

etc.
The
British Base
Formal
training. Students attend classes and workshops offered by
Cornhill Training Course.
Personal
training. This is achieved by 1:1 discipleship between students
and local British professionals
A discipling scheme (Philip Project Partners) links students
with local Christian professionals. The idea is to grow individuals
with a strong commitment to Biblical Christianity. 1:1 discipleship
is a key plank in the structure of the project.
The
African Base
IFES affiliated movements and other evangelical bodies in
the countries where the trainees come from provide support
and resources for the students on their return home.
African
Networking
The
purpose of the network is threefold. Firstly, to provide the
project with fresh candidates. Secondly, to provide a 'washback
effect' for the project. The lessons learnt in the field are
fed back into the course to keep it as relevant to the target
situation as possible. Thirdly, to provide the returnees with
prayer and moral support besides the opportunity to preach.
The
two year programme at Cornhill Training Course
The
topics covered.
The syllabus is a rolling programme. This means you can join
the class for one year (this is especially suitable for students
who are in the UK for one year) or for two years. If you enrol
for a year you cover only half the material but if you stay
on for the two years you cover the entire syllabus. The next
class starts on September 2004.
