Some comments from past students and partnering organisations:
The Philip Project has been a really positive influence for great biblical preaching in Africa. I am delighted to see the benefits of this strategic training being offered more widely and hope that people from every continent will have the chance to participate. Marcus Honeysett, Director, Living Leadership
The Proclamation Trust is happy to be associated with Philip Project as it undertakes its unique task of UK based Bible training with a view to reaching the world. At no other time in our history have we been so well placed to serve the worldwide church from our own nation and this strategic and important work deserves wide recognition and support. Adrian Reynolds, Director of Ministry, The Proclamation Trust
Philip Project's equipping students from across the globe to use God's Word effectively is a wonderful partnership in our mission of Christian Unions making disciples of Jesus Christ in the student world. It warms our hearts to hear of PP alumni preaching in their local churches, building up the Body and proclaiming the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. May many more international students in Britain benefit from the ministry of the Philip Project. Brian Weaver, Project Manager, UCCF: The Christian Unions
The Philip Project is one of the most strategic missions in the UK. Few things could be more important than equipping young and gifted internationals for the task of understanding and proclaiming the Bible. On returning to their home countries, such leaders are better equipped, not only for their academic and professional life, but to make a significant contribution to the maturity and mission of the churches. I warmly commend it. Jonathan Lamb, Director of Langham Preaching, Langham Partnership International; Chairman, Keswick Ministries
The Philip Project was very instrumental in training me how to handle God's Word and interpret it faithfully. I have used the same skills to train other pastors, particularly those less privileged and unable to afford Bible School. I am now even training seminary students in different parts of Africa to faithfully interpret God's word with the skills I learnt at Philip Project. Rev. Edward M. Simiyu, Senior Pastor/ Team Leader, City Harvest Ministries. Nairobi, Kenya
The Philip Project course was a great challenge to me. I found myself challenged by the teachers as they taught us. They made the Bible come alive and explained the hard bits so simply. They helped me see the Bible in a way that I had never seen it before. I would recommend Philip Project; the course times are student-friendly, the course provides a place where the student is challenged and equipped to handle God's word correctly and it is a place for 'Christian social support' in a foreign country. It was while I was in Uganda, sitting through a group discussion with some pastors who had preached for many years that what I had been taught in Philip Project suddenly made sense. They said everything about what the text said except what the text actually said. I remember thinking to myself, "If this is what Christians are being taught, then the church is in big trouble. Now I see where the vision of Philip Project fits - there is a great need in the church in Africa for faithful Bible teachers". Mercy Ireri, Langham Preaching Facilitator for East Africa, Kenya
Life after Phillip Project is amazing! I find myself wanting to read the word with more understanding and doing it in context. I think of why that verse is where it is and how it relates to Jesus and the whole plan of salvation. Today as a youth worker I use that. When I prepare lessons for my youth I seek to be objective and try to use the word of God in the right context. Claire Nakyejwe, Youth worker, Watoto, Uganda
